The grab fests are called cuddle parties, and since they started in New York in February, hundreds of people have paid $30 each to touch and embrace others in intimate gatherings.

On second thought, obviously not everyone in the world as a prude like me. Lots of people pay strangers to have sex, or even very interesting sex, with them. So why not pay for a tamer activity?

Tamer, less medically dangerous... I can see it. Although I don't think many people from these groups would cuddle with a stranger one-on-one. It's safety in numbers.

dare I say 'only in america'? grin.. to me raves are all about hugging, and the friends I make who are ravers know the joy better than any others and do it more freely.
