stupid macs

Well my work Mac just ate my TMBG Apollo 18 CD. At least, the CD drive won't open now to give me the CD back. How brokeass.

My foot's asleep too, which is pretty weird because I've just been sitting here.

But I didn't post to bitch! Not at all. I posted because... well, I didn't post all day yesterday, and lots of fun stuff happened! So I'm here to tell you about it.

That's right, kids! teddyville.org is... well it's actually neither up nor running. But it will be! It has been purchased in the name of Teddyville, and my house has a server all set up waiting for it! Isn't that just spiffyness... It took (mostly) Brendan, (a lot of) Waylon, and (very little from) I about 8 hours yesterday to get the server working.

I have a server in my apartment... I'm such a badass. ;)

I guess that's really all I have to talk about.

if you aren't already, find and open the apple cd player. from there, click the "eject cd" button. It'll look just like the eject cd button anywhere else. On the imac that's sometimes the only way to get the cd out. and, if you haven't already, try dragging the cd icon to the trash.

I think there might be a manual override for the cd drive, but I'm not really sure where it would be. I just think it exists.

there is a manual override. It is a small pinhole. Just poke a safety pin in there and hit the button and the cd will eject.

Oooh, I see the pinhole... glad I know about it now.

Hmm. I don't have a CD icon... but I used good ol' Sherlock to find the CD player and that worked. Blegh. Thanks.
