~~**Belly Dancing Open Mike**~~ 10 PM to 10:30 PM at the Sunday Night Belly Dance Show! Open floor time for dancers who wish to perform, 5 min time limit for walk-ins and space may be limited.

Hehe. Think it's unreasonable for me to imagine I could go and impress someone so much that they invite me to take classes with them for free? ;)

Are there bellydancing talent scouts? I'm not really sure the industry works that way.

The industry might have worked that way in the 60s in Egypt, but no longer. It's too specialized. I'm just hoping for a troupe instructor who wants me as a student. :)

I meant to mention that I saw belly dancers at the faire. MB made the comment "Well, they look like they're doing alright." To which I replied "You say that only because you've never seen Julia dance. Trust me, they aren't doing that great."

Yeah, I agree. That's not much time. Heck, a single cabaret suite can take a half hour of dancing. I guess that's why they limit you to 5 minutes...
