juldea: (sleepy)

asleep, awake, whatever

Early this morning, while I was still up from the day before, Jim asked me if I would be around for dinner. I said yes, since there is no Waytes/Quire rehearsal tonight.

Then I went to bed at 11:30am.

So, I set my alarm for 5pm. I woke up, had dinner with Jim, and now I'm sitting here. I could go back to bed, or I could stay up for a while yet... But I'm not at peak performance level, so I don't want to go about working on projects I'll expect perfection from.

I really don't know how I spend time anymore. It seems like long blocks of hours go by while I'm awake and nothing gets done. A year ago I had two jobs, school, and similar amounts of online committments and was much more productive than I am now. It's really hard to understand. :-/

For example: since 5pm I've had dinner, fed the cats, read my friends' page, written and responded to comments, read the aust3k.com boards, and chatted a bit with [livejournal.com profile] diego001 and Adriana. How in the world did that use up 3 hours?

I'm almost always less productive when I have less to do. 'Cause you can always put things off until later. But when you're busy you HAVE to do it NOW.

Yeah, that occurred to me a bit later. I'm not feeling rushed to get anything done, so I unconsciously take longer, or spend more time chatting, etc.

Which is why I need to put myself on a schedule... :)

Mmm schedule... organization...

Yes. I need a good life tidy-up.
