Neverwhere DVDs

Who has londo's copy of the Neverwhere TV miniseries on DVD?

There is a copy that has been in our house for years. I *think* it's ours, but it might have been borrowed.

We currently have a copy that we borrowed from Melville Keep.

Given the apparent lack of (physical) copy here, other than in my faulty memory, I think we can safely assume that a) you have my copy and b) I don't have londo's copy.

Can I have it back?

Yup. We'll get that back to you.

Hrm. It does strike me as possible that you were someone we would've lent that to. Either way, if it is NOT his copy and his does not otherwise show up, can I borrow that one for a viewing party in a couple weeks? (Which you'd be invited to, of course!)

Assuming that there actually *is* a copy physically in our house, and I'm not just misremembering the one currently in Maine (see above), you are certainly welcome to borrow it.

Man, I hope that parses.

Have you heard that the actor who played the Marquis de Carabas is the front-runner to be the next Doctor Who?

It parses. Woot!

And I had indeed heard that, although only thanks to a single post on LJ, and I wasn't sure if they were being serious or not. Considering you as confirmation, I can now say that is fantastic and should definitely happen! I was extremely impressed with that particular role in the miniseries.

Technically, it is still a rumor, but the likelihood has gone up a lot since it was first heard.

Neil Gaiman is on record as saying that the character of the Marquis was created as if he was inventing a new Doctor Who from scratch. Another, not-quite-as-firm rumor, has Neil scheduled to write an episode of Who in 2010.
